Family-Friendly Snowshoeing in Pennsylvania
When you think of winter, you probably think of fast-paced activities like skiing or sledding. But, winter is also an excellent time to slow down and appreciate the tranquility of the season. Snowshoeing is a fun activity for all ages that allows everyone to admire nature and the beautiful snow-covered scenery. Join us at Woodloch and try snowshoeing in Pennsylvania through the winter wonderland of wooded trails.
Snowshoeing at Woodloch
When you stay at Woodloch, you will have access to snowshoeing right at the resort. We even have rentals available in our Skate Shop if you don’t have your equipment. Explore our winter wonderland and traverse around the frozen waters of Lake Teedyuskung. We also have a one-mile nature trail that provides easy snowshoeing for all ages and abilities. Continue your snowshoeing adventure on three miles of hiking paths through the deep forest. Snowshoeing is an excellent way for families to get outside and get some exercise while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
Snowshoeing at Promised Land State Park
There are plenty of places to go snowshoeing in Pennsylvania, just a short drive away from Woodloch. There are over 50 miles of snowshoeing trails available at Promised Land State Park, so you are sure to find a route suitable for your group. The Bruce Lake Natural Area has the best trails for snowshoeing, but it’s important to note that the trails are not groomed. The trail is easy and relatively flat, perfect for families snowshoeing for the first time. Don’t have snowshoes? No worries, you can loan some from the park office with a photo ID!

Winter at Woodloch offers endless opportunities for fun in the snow besides snowshoeing in Pennsylvania. We have ice skating and snow tubing available right at the resort, along with a multitude of seasonal activities. Take a wagon ride through the lit-up nature trails or join in on the competition at the Winter Olympics.
