High-Speed Fun Under the Sun: Go-Karts in Pennsylvania
While most Americans cannot legally drive a car until their 16th birthday, the need for speed is inherent in all of us throughout childhood and early adolescence. Whether you wanted to become the next Dale Earnhardt or simply couldn’t take your eyes off of Lightning McQueen, it’s typical to undergo a “racing stage” where thoughts of blazing through the streets outweigh other pursuits. As we grow older, our love for racing subtly dissipates, primarily because of the countless hours obeying the rules of the road. However, there are several ways to feed your hidden yearning for velocity, including mountain biking, ATVing, horseback riding, and, of course, go-karting. Luckily for you and your family, Woodloch Resort owns a small fleet of go-karts in Pennsylvania’s glorious Pocono Mountains, less than two hours from bustling Manhattan.
Go-Karts in Pennsylvania: Unlimited Rides the Poconos
Searching for a resort that boasts complimentary go-karts in Pennsylvania is like finding a needle in a haystack. Enter: Woodloch Resort. Yes, you read that right: We offer unlimited go-kart rides from late spring through autumn. These speedy vehicles seat two people, so Dad or Mom can drive with one of the kiddos. Otherwise, anyone who is 48 inches or taller can drive our go-karts. The “Junior Karts” are perfect for adolescents in the four-to-five-feet range.
While our track cannot quite compare to the nearby Pocono Raceway, there are plenty of twists and turns that amplify the excitement. So, strap in, channel your inner Mario Andretti (who grew up in nearby Nazareth, Pennsylvania), and put the pedal to the metal this summer at Woodloch Resort!
The Need for Speed
While we boast a small fleet of go-karts in Pennsylvania’s dense backcountry, you don’t necessarily have to strap into a motor vehicle to feed your inherent need for speed. On an “average” summer day, guests can choose between 30-plus homegrown activities, including swimming, archery, bocce, fishing, and kickball. But there are also a plethora of thrills to be had in these outwardly peaceful mountains. Click the links below to learn more about the many ways to tip the speedometer this summer.
