How to Surround Yourself in Stunning Pennsylvania Nature
One of the best ways to rest and unwind is by surrounding yourself with picturesque scenery. For those planning a getaway to the Pocono Mountains, there are plenty of ways to do just that. This is especially true if you’re staying at Woodloch or its sister resort, The Lodge at Woodloch. To help you make the most of your visit, we’ve put together a list of some of the most popular natural attractions.
Explore Pennsylvania Parks
Some of the most breathtaking spots near our Poconos resorts are local and state parks. This includes places like Promised Land State Park, which features two lakes and miles of hiking trails. We also recommend visiting Bingham Park, which is home to the Hawley River Walk Trail. Found within the Delaware State Forest is the Bruce Lake Natural Area, home to Bruce Lake and Egypt Meadow Lake.
Wander Our Resorts
There are numerous ways to spend a day out in nature without having to even leave the property! For guests at Woodloch, this includes paddling along Lake Teedyuskung in a rowboat or going for a walk along one of our nature paths. Several of our daily activities take place outdoors, which means there’s always something to do outside, regardless of the season.
There are plenty of outdoor adventures to enjoy at The Lodge at Woodloch as well. Go for a walk through The Sanctuary, a land preserve we purchased in 2018 home to flora and fauna not found elsewhere on our property. There’s also the Blackmore Property, which is where you can find our farm-to-table apiary, orchard, and garden.
