Dorflinger-Suydam
You can find the nation’s most extensive collection of Dorflinger Glass in White Mills, PA. The Dorflinger Glass Museum is located on a 600-acre wildlife sanctuary with miles of scenic walking trails. During the summer months, you can join the Wildflower Music Festival to listen to live music surrounded by majestic pines.
Wayne County Historical Society
Stop at the Historical Society museum in Honesdale, and learn about the history of canal companies and railroads in the Poconos. There is a children’s history lab where your family can learn about history through interactive experiences. You can also visit nearby historical sites, such as an old-fashioned school, jail, and farm museum.
Museum at Bethel Woods
Travel a bit further to the Museum at Bethel Woods to see the location of the famous 1969 Woodstock festival. The multi-media museum chronicles the festival’s history with artifacts, films, photographic murals, and interpretive text panels. You can purchase a ticket to one of the live concerts if you want to hear live music seated next to the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival grounds.
Houdini Museum
One hour from Woodloch, you will find the one-of-a-kind Houdini Museum. During your visit, you can tour a historic building, see a magic show, and watch rare footage of Houdini. And since fall is right around the corner, the museum will host paranormal events to usher in the season!
