Once the snow starts falling, the Pocono Mountains region turns into a stunning winter wonderland filled with endless adventure. There are several nearby attractions just waiting for you to discover them.

1. Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain is a must-visit. The popular spot is only about 15 minutes away from our Poconos resort and features 18 trails suited for all skill levels. We recommend purchasing your lift tickets and reserving your rental equipment ahead of time.
2. For a winter day trip, head to Shawnee Mountain, which has 23 slopes and trails, as well as two terrain parks. Not only can you go downhill skiing, but this East Stroudsburg spot also offers snow tubing.
3. Enjoy endless winter fun at Promised Land State Park. Here, you can go cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and so much more. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.

5. Another stunning natural attraction to explore in the winter is Prompton State Park. Snowy adventures here include cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, and ice fishing.
